one of the experiances that i have had with has influenced the ideas for show happened back in 2009 when i saw Miroslaw Balka’s ‘how it is’ at tate modern’s turbine hall this was coincidently the same day I got confirmation of extent of my sight loss.

the piece appears from outside as a large black box upon entering the turbine hall, before revealing from one side a ramp leading inside which gets darker the further inside until there is no light left and the partipnts are unable to see there surrounding as they find themselves in complete blackness.

personally i don’t actually have the experiance of entering this space I walked up to diminished light up to the edge of total darkness but felt at the time too uncomfortable  to enter.
