I have been using plywood and acrylic paint mixed with water to allow gravity to take over, to have a say in how and where the paint travels. Although gravity was in control of the paint, I used paint or sometimes water to encourage the desired path. The grain is of interest to me, to go with the grain rather than against it. My intention is to work with the natural grain and enhance its features with coloured ‘sap’.

‘Sap’ has just been accepted for a collaborative exhibition at The Lightbox in Woking, titled ‘DAiSYfest’ (Disabled Artists in Surrey), running from 13 September – 9 October.
