thinking about the layout for my degree show, I plan on creating a space in which the audience would have to navigate the space would be made of tight corridors which will be in complelete darkness. to easily plan the the room I have created a 3d computer model of the room in sketch up where i can easily add walls and plan the route the audience will take through my space.
I have a clear idea of what i want the entrance to the space to look like walls will block off most of the entrance leaving a tight opening big enough for a single person to enter through. I had an idea that upon first being the entrance you are greeted by bright walls welcoming you into the space. it is not until you go round the first corner light start to disappear causing vision to be lost.
Upon going around the first corner the participant will encounter winding tight corridor from here I will have textures on the walls and floor running throughout the rest of the space.
After the corridors the space will open out with the partitant having to figure out how to proceceed which will be through a hole which they will have to crawl through.
After this a choice will have to be made to turn left or right, turning right will end with a dead end i could possibly put something in the dead end with the participant possibly missing it.
I am unsure at the moment what would be best on the left apart from a corridor leading to a door that returns the participant to the entrance.
