Placing a mirror inside the block worked well especially when place on the wall, from a distance when looking through the peephole there is what looks like a glimpse of the room on the other side of the wall that the piece is on. this attracts  the viewer convincing them to come up to and look through the peephole. when the viewer looks through, instead of seeing another room they are shown their own eye looking back at theirselves.
