The origin of ‘Squirl’ is photographic. The photographic element has been removed to reveal its pixel qualities. The way it has been digitised gives a feeling of being too perfect, but not in the negative sense.

The swirl comprises of three colours, which were once separate pixels. The other two components are more abstract and explore the pixel-graphic. The nature of this image leaves it much more open to interpretation.

My intention as an artist is to hand over the reading of an image to the viewers interpretation.
